Born in Oakland California, Vincent “V.T.” Tolan has made a name for himself by bringing a new sound out of the West Side of Oakland. Inspired by Cash Money super producer, Mannie Fresh, V.T. also has family ties in New Orleans, home of Jazz and Blues. After years of writing and composing, he met Traxamillion who would help him as a mentor and a teacher on how to succeed in the music business. He let him know that he "needed to be heard." As a producer, V.T.’s style contains a mixture of jazz, soul, R&B and techno. Several of his tracks or music productions feature live instruments adding a distinct touch to every song. His first radio song, "Code of the Streets" by Dem Hoodstarz featuring V.T. has been one of the most successful Bay Area songs nationwide. V.T. is currently writing and producing songs for Dem Hoodstarz’ next album, Black Friday. He has also produced Electric Love by Netta B, winner of the Bay Area’s Def Jam Star Search, Too Short and the Trunk Boiz, Turf Talk, Jiggsaw, Shady Nate, J-Stylin, Relly Rel and Mr. F.A.B.
